quick notes - his markings fade from a bright reddish pink mask, to a tan colour, to white at the end - fur is scruffy and fairly long, with a considerable mane; think maned wolf or hyena - his nf is stuck in his mane as if tangled up, and often flowing backwards like caught in a wind - enchantment takes the form of ram horns when more active, and smaller goat ones when inactive; any inbetween stage can be shown |

nature Ghwero is a highly conflicted creature, a combination of anger, regret, heartbreak and self loathing. his life fell apart in more ways than he'd ever thought possible despite his best attempts and it leaves him full of what-ifs and could've-should've-would'ves which tear him apart from the inside as he restlessly paces his boundary. he's asocial and prone to lashing out, and his poor mental state makes his territory unpleasant to spend time in. the darkness in him can be felt as a tension in the air and the dark thrum of his vibration signature, something that feels heavy like static when you get too close. his enchantment doesn't help matters - if you're within range, your pulse quickens and your breath grows shallow before you know it, as something tells you to fight or fly. while Ghwero doesn't want loneliness, his actions and badly controlled instincts leave his stretch of cliff very much alone and him in isolation. and this self-imposed prison suits him as he stews in his misery, not sure what to do next. ultimately he regrets the transformation and being so tied to this location, but there's nothing he can do about that now. he thinks about the city, wants to return to it and find comfort in familiar streets and faces, but he can't bring himself to return to a place that has hurt him so deeply either. he's not fully conscious of time passing, and can be seen wandering the same stretch of sand or cliff for days at a time, hiding away in the depths of caves to avoid being seen, or in other moments sitting still and staring out across the sea or towards the distant city lights, whether he can see them or not. but in some silences, you may be able to catch him singing to himself, a different sort of hum in the air, an ethereal and dark rendition of what sounds like an old lullaby. |

Ghwero's cliff is part of the chain that makes up the Sunset Cliffs national park outside of San Diego in California. this national park is more recently established, but it's a popular attraction for californians and tourists alike, offering breathtakingly beautiful views of the infinite ocean horizon as well as dramatic cliff formations and caves. the tide plays a major part in this area as well and so the views and what you can see and find there vary by season as much as time of day. like other cliffs in the area, these ones are showing signs of erosion, but there are steps where you can climb down them to walk along the coast and investigate tide pools and step out into the sea. you'll frequently encounter surfers, photographers, painters, and others enjoying the scenery just as much Ghwero's specific cliff is unremarkable, but with a good height and a vertigo-inducing sensation when you look down towards the base and the crashing waves. this cliff in particular has now gotten a local reputation for being haunted, with people swearing they can see a dark silhouette standing alone at its edge, but an unspeakable kind of sensation around the area ensures no one investigates closely. the cliffs support a coastal scrub habitat, with lemonadeberry, sagebrush, buckwheat, coast sunflower, and many more species of flora despite the relatively small area of the park. animals in this specific area are mostly small, like gopher snakes, alligator lizards, desert cottontail, pocket mouse, or desert wood rat. there are birds aplenty in the skies and on the cliffs, like hawks, wrens, cormorants and finches, and in the waters themselves you may spot gray whales in the distance, alongside a variety of dolphins, sea lions, harbor seals, and leopard sharks. |
